Review:
One of the main attractions of Padstow is The Seafood Restaurant. I’ve visited many times and you can see my previous reviews in 2017 and 2019. The food is outstanding, just as good as ever, and the service is excellent. The restaurant has a buzz to it; it’s exciting to eat there! We stayed for a long weekend in a Master Room which had a balcony overlooking the beautiful estuary, and enjoyed eating in the restaurant for dinner, lunch and breakfast!
Pete Murt is the new head chef. He first joined the group as a kitchen porter at St Petroc’s Bistro in 2000, and rose through the ranks with the Stein’s chef apprentice academy. He briefly joined Claude Bosi’s two-Michelin-starred Hibiscus in London, and returned in 2015 to help launch the Stein Sandbanks restaurant in Dorset. Stephane Delourme, the long-standing Seafood Restaurant head chef, has been promoted to a group chef position, focusing on training the next generation of chefs across Stein’s 12 sites.
If you are in or near Padstow, then I would highly recommend a visit.
