Review: The Gambaro Group opened Persone in 2018.  It is an Italian restaurant, next to the W Hotel in Brisbane on level two of Brisbane Quarter, with alfresco dining, waterfront views and a private dining space.

Although its casual dining, the food is very high quality, with very good service, an excellent wine list and great views across the river.  It’s also surprisingly inexpensive for this level of food quality and service!

Stuart Clarke Restaurant ReviewThe menu offers Mediterranean dishes, incorporating traditional recipes from Italy’s diverse culinary regions but with a modern Australian approach – tuna crudo with  negroni syrup, a rabbit ragu with percorino and herb crumb, crumbed veal cutlet with lemon and rocket and the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, which continues the Gambaro’s famed steak lineage with a one-kilogram T-bone that has been aged for three weeks.

This is a very good Italian restaurant and definitely worth a visit.
