Review:
We enjoyed the lunch menu at Larder in Lichfield, Staffordshire, and these are the highlights. There are some great food inventions and new tastes that we tried. Some of the dishes are smaller, and you can treat them like tapas.

The Menu and Food:
The Wine:
The Zero-G Gruner Veltliner 2016 from Wagram, Austria scores a 3.8 / 5 on Vivino. It has hints of citrus, lemon, apple and pear. It has a spicy style and mineral notes. It matches fish, cured meat, pork and poultry very well. This is a great all-round session white wine.
The Bacca Nera Negroamaro Primitivo Salento 2018, from Salento, Italy scores a 3.8 / 5 on Vivino. It has fabulous blackberry and plum notes, with some cherry, oak and vanilla. This great Puglia region, Southern Italian red wine accompanies lamb and beef dishes very well. It has soft tannins and balanced acidity, and is a great red for long lunches.
