Visit: 20 April 2019, dinner for one.
Review: This restaurant serves top drawer, French inspired cooking, with fresh Australian ingredients.
The restaurant was tricky to find, but as long as you keep walking down the steps to the river side, you won’t miss it. It is located very close to the Marriott Hotel. The view overlooking Story Bridge is spectacular.
I was greeted at the door and shown to my table. The young staff were overseen by the owner. He wears chefs whites and orchestrates the service in the restaurant perfectly. After discussing the prawn thermidor dish, and placing my order, he explained that he will give me sufficient time between courses so that my dinner is not rushed. He clearly knew what he was doing, and his attention to the details of the service, together with the quality of the food, made this an outstanding dining experience.
The service was impeccable, thanks to the owner; the food was very good; the view over the river was outstanding; the restaurant itself was elegant, but a little dated.
It was a great experience and I will definitely return again!
